Qtruck
A micro:bit tracked robot with a 3DOF robotic arm and LEGO-compatible holes, built in four forms.
- micro:bit
- Suggested for primary
- Suggested for secondary
Qtruck is a programmable robot that uses a micro:bit as its controller. It runs on a metal track chassis with a high-torque DC motor and carries a small robotic arm of three anti-blocking micro servos that moves horizontally and vertically to grab and carry items. An ultrasonic sensor handles ranging and obstacle avoidance, and a 4-channel line follower tracks black lines through sharp turns. Hiwonder shows four builds from the kit: transport, balancing, way-exploring and obstacle avoidance robots, and LEGO-compatible holes let learners add their own parts. It is programmed in MakeCode with blocks or JavaScript, and can be driven from a phone app or with a Handlebit.
Zeta42 is an authorised Hiwonder partner in the Middle East.

What it does
Built for.
3DOF robotic arm
Three micro servos move the arm horizontally and vertically, so Qtruck can grab an item and carry it.
Track chassis
A metal chassis on tracks with a high-torque DC motor.
Sensors
The ultrasonic sensor measures distance and avoids obstacles, and the 4-channel infrared line follower handles large-angle turns. The micro:bit adds sound, light, acceleration, compass and temperature readings.
Four robots in one kit
The same parts build a transport robot, a balancing robot, a way-exploring robot and an obstacle avoidance robot.
Anti-blocking servos
The three servos are protected so they do not burn out when blocked or knocked.
LEGO-compatible holes
LEGO-compatible holes and extra sensor modules let learners build and program new shapes and functions.
Where it is used
