AiNova

An ESP32 robot car for Scratch, Python and Arduino; the Standard and Auto Driving kits add AI vision.

AiNova is a small robot car for AI and coding lessons, built around Hiwonder's CoreX controller with an ESP32 processor. Encoder motors, a 4-channel line follower and a glowing ultrasonic sensor let it follow lines, measure distance and avoid obstacles. The Standard Kit adds the WonderCam AI vision module, which recognises colours, tags and faces and follows lines by sight. The Auto Driving Kit adds the accessories for a model traffic scene, where AiNova recognises traffic lights and road signs and announces them through an MP3 module. Beginners program it in Scratch, more experienced users in Python, and the hardware is Arduino-compatible.

Zeta42 is an authorised Hiwonder partner in the Middle East.

What it does

Built for.

  • Sensors in every kit

The CoreX controller drives two encoder motors, a 4-channel infrared line follower and a glowing ultrasonic sensor, so even the Starter Kit can follow lines, measure distance and avoid obstacles.

  • WonderCam AI vision

In the Standard and Auto Driving kits, the WonderCam module, with its own Kendryte K210 processor and a 2-inch screen, recognises colours, tags, numbers and faces, classifies images, learns new features and follows lines by sight. It passes what it finds to the controller over I2C.

  • Model autonomous driving

With the Auto Driving Kit's accessories, AiNova recognises traffic lights and road signs, programmed in Scratch, and announces what it sees through an MP3 module.

  • Scratch, Python and Arduino

Scratch blocks suit beginners, and Python takes more experienced users further. The hardware interface is fully Arduino-compatible, with open-source code and detailed comments.

  • App control

The iOS and Android app shows how to assemble the robot, drives it remotely, runs its AI games and offers simple programming.

  • Room to expand

Spare module ports and mounting holes take other electronic modules and LEGO structural parts. The WonderCam module can be fitted with a metal protective shell.
