DaDa:bit V2

DaDa:bit V2: micro:bit building blocks in enclosed, LEGO-compatible housings, with 36 official builds.

DaDa:bit V2 is a programmable building block kit for coding beginners, powered by a micro:bit and a multifunction expansion board. The electronic modules sit in fully enclosed housings that fit standard LEGO holes and assemble without screws, and every module uses the same 4-pin port. Learners program in Microsoft MakeCode, switching between blocks and JavaScript. Hiwonder publishes 36 official builds in three levels of 12, matched to the Starter, Standard and Advanced kits, each with its own program and tutorial. Every kit is sold with or without a micro:bit.

Zeta42 is an authorised Hiwonder partner in the Middle East.

What it does

Built for.

  • Builds that grow in difficulty

Starter builds explore mechanisms such as gears, linkages and levers. Standard builds add light and distance sensing, and Advanced builds combine sensors in robots such as a race car, a multi-legged bot and an obstacle avoidance car.

  • Kit contents

The Starter Kit has a motor and a servo, and the Standard Kit adds sensor modules. The Advanced Kit has two 360° motors, a 270° servo and the full set of modules: a glowing ultrasonic module, an infrared obstacle avoidance sensor, a light sensor, a 4-channel line follower and a digital tube.

  • Screw-free and LEGO-compatible

Fully enclosed housings fit standard LEGO holes, so modules fasten without tools and mix with existing bricks.

  • Blocks and JavaScript

Microsoft MakeCode lets learners switch between block-based coding and JavaScript as their skills grow.

  • Battery power

An 18650 rechargeable lithium battery runs a build for about 150 minutes, and the expansion board carries an RGB LED.
