DaDa:bit AI is a programmable building block kit that brings large AI models into micro:bit lessons. Its WonderLLM AI module gives builds voice interaction, voice control and visual scene understanding, alongside colour recognition, face recognition and line following. Hiwonder publishes 32 official builds in three levels (16 Starter, 8 Standard and 8 Advanced), from bionic robots and machines to smart home models and games, each with a program and a tutorial. Learners program it with blocks, and every kit is sold with or without a micro:bit.

Zeta42 is an authorised Hiwonder partner in the Middle East.

What it does

Built for.

  • WonderLLM AI module

The module has a 2MP HD camera, a Hi-Fi speaker, a capacitive LCD touchscreen and an I2C port. It switches between expression, chat and clock modes, and works online and offline: offline, it still recognises colours on command.

  • Large models in the builds

With support for Qwen, DeepSeek and Doubao, builds hold a conversation, describe what is in front of them and link spoken requests to their sensors, such as changing the RGB lights when the ultrasonic sensor detects an obstacle.

  • Kit contents

Every kit has the WonderLLM module, a 360° block motor and a 270° block servo. The Standard Kit adds a fan module and a second motor, and the Advanced Kit adds a second servo, a glowing ultrasonic sensor and a 4-channel line follower.

  • LEGO-compatible housings

Modules match standard LEGO parts in interface and size and join with pins rather than screws. Side and bottom holes line up with LEGO Technic parts, and every module uses the same 4-pin plug.

  • micro:bit and expansion board

The micro:bit plugs into a multifunction expansion board with RGB lights, servo, motor and sensor ports, and onboard battery charging.
