- Suggested for secondary
DaDa:bit is a programmable building block kit that Hiwonder designed for AI education, powered by the micro:bit and a multifunction expansion board. More than 200 building blocks and over 10 electronic modules make hundreds of models, and Hiwonder provides instructions for 20 of them, from a bubble machine and a catapult to a colour sorter and a password safe, each with a program, a tutorial and a video. Learners program it in MakeCode with graphical blocks or JavaScript. It is sold without a micro:bit, with a micro:bit V2.0, or as a blocks-only set.
Zeta42 is an authorised Hiwonder partner in the Middle East.

What it does
Built for.
20 guided builds
Each build pairs a mechanism with a module and a learning objective: a sound-controlled fan, a somatosensory goalkeeper on the acceleration sensor, a parking barrier on the ultrasonic sensor and a basketball counter on the infrared sensor, among others.
Sensors and outputs
Inputs include temperature, ultrasonic, obstacle avoidance, light, colour, sound and acceleration sensors, an electronic compass and a knob. Outputs include a fan, a dot matrix display, a buzzer, a digital tube, an RGB module and a servo.
micro:bit expansion board
The expansion board has a 2-channel motor port, a 6-channel servo port, expansion ports, a buzzer, a sound sensor and coloured lights, and runs on two 18650 lithium batteries.
Works with other blocks
The kit takes Hiwonder's other sensors, which share its style, interface and mounting holes, and other building blocks, so idle toys can become part of programming lessons.
Blocks or JavaScript
Programs are written online in MakeCode, with graphical blocks or in JavaScript.
