xArm 2.0
A desktop robot arm with over 10 electronic modules, programmed in Scratch or Python on an ESP32 controller.
- ESP32
- Suggested for primary
- Suggested for secondary
xArm 2.0 is a programmable desktop robot arm for learning programming and electronics. Intelligent serial bus servos give position and voltage feedback, and the controller, built on ESP32 and STM32 chips, has buttons, a buzzer, RGB lights and an infrared receiver built in. It comes with over 10 electronic modules, including a dot matrix display, an ultrasonic sensor and a colour sensor that connect by simple 4-pin cables, and an infrared remote control, for projects such as all-round detection, colour sorting and games. Students program it in Scratch or Python, several arms can work together, and it works with all of Hiwonder's sensors.
Zeta42 is an authorised Hiwonder partner in the Middle East.
What it does
Built for.
Scratch and Python
Scratch 3.0 blocks make a fun start for beginners, and Python lets more advanced students go further.
Sensors in the box
The dot matrix module, ultrasonic sensor and colour sensor connect by 4-pin cables, and an infrared remote is included, for detection, colour sorting and creative games.
Intelligent bus servos
High-torque smart bus servos let the arm grab heavier objects and run smoothly, and they report position and voltage.
Inverse kinematics
Hiwonder provides an inverse kinematics analysis of xArm 2.0, and the arm can detect objects all around it and grab from several angles.
Programming actions without code
Build actions in the PC software, in the app, or by moving the arm by hand and saving each pose.
Control
Drive it from the iOS or Android app, a PS2 wireless handle or a mouse. Several xArm 2.0 arms can work together on one task.
