miniHexa Pro

An ESP32 hexapod with an AI module for large models, vision and voice, plus a 2DOF arm in the Advanced Kit.

  • Arduino
  • ESP32
  • Suggested for secondary

miniHexa Pro is the AI version of miniHexa: an 18DOF all-metal hexapod with a WonderLLM AI module built on a dual-core ESP32-P4C5. The module has a 2MP camera and an LCD touchscreen, runs face and gesture recognition and pedestrian detection offline, and connects to large language models such as DeepSeek and Qwen3 through the XiaoZhi AI platform. The ESP-Claw agent turns voice or text instructions into planned tasks. The Advanced Kit adds an all-metal 2DOF robot arm and a wireless controller for grasping and transport. It is programmed in Scratch, MicroPython or Arduino.

What it does

Built for.

  • WonderLLM AI module

Built on the dual-core ESP32-P4C5, the module handles face and gesture recognition and pedestrian detection offline, and connects to large models such as DeepSeek and Qwen3 in more than 30 languages.

  • ESP-Claw agent

Send a voice or text instruction from the PC or app, and the ESP-Claw agent splits it into steps, decides and acts. It supports standard APIs and models including Kimi, Qwen, MiniMax, DeepSeek and GPT.

  • Inverse kinematics

Hiwonder's inverse kinematics algorithm calculates all 18 joint trajectories in real time, and a 6-axis IMU keeps the robot balanced as it moves in any direction.

  • 2DOF arm (Advanced Kit)

The Advanced Kit's all-metal arm uses anti-blocking servos to grab objects, and with the ESP-Claw agent miniHexa Pro can find, pick up and deliver them. The kit also adds a wireless controller.

  • Coding and control

Learners start with Scratch blocks and move on to MicroPython and Arduino, with open-source code and courses. The PC software controls coordinates, posture and calibration in real time.

  • Sensors

In both kits, an RGB ultrasonic sensor measures distance for obstacle avoidance and spoken distance alerts, and video streams over Wi-Fi.

Where it is used
