xArm 1S
A 6DOF aluminium desktop arm on intelligent bus servos, programmed by hand, app or PC, assembled or as a kit.
- Suggested for secondary
xArm 1S is a desktop robot arm for gripping and sorting tasks, project builds and robotics teaching. Its intelligent bus servos report position and voltage, the body is sandblasted, oxidised aluminium alloy on a round bearing base, and a clutch servo in the gripper protects it from damage when it stalls. It can be driven from a wireless handle, a mouse, the iOS and Android app or PC software, and new actions can be recorded by moving the arm by hand. It comes assembled or as a kit to build, and Hiwonder provides course materials, the controller's source code and video lessons. A synchronisation controller, offered as a separate option, lets students move a small hand-held arm and have xArm 1S follow in real time.

What it does
Built for.
Intelligent bus servos
Bus servos with position and voltage feedback drive the arm's six degrees of freedom, and their simple wiring keeps the body clean and tidy.
Anti-blocking gripper
A clutch servo design in the gripper stops the servo being damaged by stalling and extends its service life.
Metal body, bearing base
The arm is aluminium alloy throughout, sandblasted and oxidised, and turns smoothly on a round bearing base that carries load well.
Programming without code
Set poses by turning the servos by hand and saving them, adjust angles or poses in the app, or drag sliders in the graphical PC software to build actions.
Control options
Drive it with the PS2 wireless handle, a mouse, the app over the built-in Bluetooth module, or the PC software. The arm also works with the Arduino platform for further projects.
Synchronisation controller (option)
Press Learning on the controller, move it by hand, then press One-click running and xArm 1S repeats the movement. It links to the arm over Bluetooth and is programmed in Arduino.
