uHandbit
A micro:bit robotic hand with ultrasonic and colour sensors, programmed graphically or driven from an app.
- micro:bit
- Suggested for primary
- Suggested for secondary
uHandbit is a programmable robotic hand powered by a micro:bit and a micro:bit expansion board. It can be controlled from a PC, from the micro:bit itself or from a mobile app, and supports graphical programming. With its ultrasonic and colour sensors it measures distance, recognises colours and counts on its fingers. Anti-blocking servos with built-in stall protection move the fingers. It is sold with or without a micro:bit V2.0.

What it does
Built for.
micro:bit control
The micro:bit and its expansion board form the control system, and the hand supports graphical programming in the browser.
Sensors
An ultrasonic sensor and a colour sensor are supplied for distance measurement and colour recognition, and the hand can count on its fingers.
Anti-blocking servos
LFD-01 anti-blocking servos move the fingers, with a built-in algorithm that protects them when they are blocked. A digital servo in the base turns the hand 180 degrees horizontally.
Three ways to control it
Drive it from the mobile app, from the micro:bit or from a PC.
