uHand UNO
An open-source Arduino robotic hand with knob and app control, and a somatosensory glove in the Advanced Kit.
- Arduino
- Suggested for secondary
uHand UNO is an open-source robotic hand for beginners, built on an Arduino UNO with an Atmega328. Six anti-blocking servos move the fingers and the rotating base, and a 6-channel knob board lets learners drive each joint by hand and record motions offline. The hand is programmed in the Arduino IDE with commented open-source code, and can be controlled from an iOS or Android app over Bluetooth. The Standard and Advanced kits add sensors and an ESP32-Cam vision module, and the Advanced Kit adds Hiwonder's somatosensory glove. Every kit comes as a left or a right hand.
Zeta42 is an authorised Hiwonder partner in the Middle East.

What it does
Built for.
Arduino compatible
uHand UNO is fully compatible with Arduino hardware interfaces and the Arduino IDE. Hiwonder provides commented open-source code, schematics, video guides and project tutorials.
Knob control and offline editing
Six knobs move the joints directly, and motions can be recorded with the knobs and buttons and played back without a computer.
Sensors (Standard and Advanced Kit)
A glowing ultrasonic module measures distance and starts ball grabbing, an acceleration sensor controls the grip by pose, and a touch sensor runs finger counting.
AI vision (Standard and Advanced Kit)
An ESP32-Cam module adds colour and face recognition, and the app can show the camera's image.
Somatosensory glove (Advanced Kit)
The Advanced Kit includes Hiwonder's wireless glove for somatosensory control of the hand.
Anti-blocking servos
A built-in stall protection algorithm keeps the servos from burning out if a finger is blocked or hits something.
