NexArm ROS Dual-Arm Conveyor Development Kit

Two NexArm ROS arms, a conveyor belt and a touchscreen on NVIDIA Jetson, for model production-line work.

  • NVIDIA Jetson
  • Suggested for university

The NexArm ROS Dual-Arm Conveyor Development Kit puts two NexArm ROS robot arms beside an electric conveyor belt on one sandbox, run by an NVIDIA Jetson controller, with an 11.6-inch HD touchscreen and a visual control centre. Each arm has its own 3D depth camera and AI voice interaction box, and inverse kinematics keeps the two arms in time as they pass, carry and sort objects together, as on an industrial production line. Hiwonder builds it around multimodal large AI models, OpenClaw agents, ACT and VLA, machine vision and inverse kinematics, for ROS 2 teaching and embodied AI research.

Zeta42 is an authorised Hiwonder partner in the Middle East.

What it does

Built for.

  • Two arms working together

Inverse kinematics keeps the two arms precisely synchronised, so they can hand objects between them, carry them and sort them.

  • Conveyor sandbox

The sandbox holds the electric conveyor belt, sorting trays, waste bins, a recognition zone and the 11.6-inch touchscreen, for material transport, colour sorting and waste sorting exercises.

  • 3D depth perception

Each arm's depth camera captures a target's depth and spatial coordinates, and fusing colour with depth lets the arms grasp, sort and move objects in 3D space.

  • Large AI models and OpenClaw

Speech, language and vision models working with the OpenClaw agent handle tasks such as understanding a scene, tracking a moving object and gathering data into reports.

  • Jetson controllers

The kit runs on a Jetson Nano, Jetson Orin Nano Super or Jetson Orin NX Super with ROS 2 Humble. Hiwonder recommends an Orin controller for deeper development of AI models.

  • Many ways to control it

Run it from the PC software, the app, a wireless controller, voice commands or ROS 2 programs.

Where it is used

Applications.

  • Teaching automated production lines: transfer, transport and sorting
  • Research into dual-arm coordination and embodied AI
  • University courses in ROS 2 and machine vision
