Our team visited ELECFREAKS in Shenzhen, the manufacturer behind robotics kits used in classrooms around the world. Haseen, Zeta42's general manager, went with colleagues to see how the equipment we put in front of students is designed and made.
Through the factory
ELECFREAKS gave us an in-depth tour of their brand factory. Seeing the process end to end changes how you think about a kit: the constraints a manufacturer works within, and the difference between a component that demonstrates an idea and one that survives a term of teaching.
The kit itself
Much of the visit went on their latest educational solutions and their micro robotics kits. We asked the questions that only matter once a kit reaches a classroom — how quickly a teacher can get it working, what breaks first, and what a student actually learns while using it.
Where it goes next
Both sides kept returning to the same thing: making technology education practical rather than theoretical. We talked about bringing more hands-on STEM learning to students and educators here in the UAE, and what that asks of a manufacturer and an academy working together.
Our thanks to the ELECFREAKS team for the welcome and the candour. We came home with a clearer picture of what is possible for schools across the UAE, and a partnership we intend to build on.
